So... the party. Yeah. It wound up good, better than my paranoid "OHMYGOD IT'S GOING TO SUCK AND ALL MY FRIENDS WILL HATE ME!" brain was saying, anyway. Bree and Ali came over around 5:15 and we went and rented movies and bought stuff and ran errands, and came back to my house at 6:30 and proceeded to procrastinate on decorating. Then Tim, Dee, Mike, and Lisa all got to my house really early -- 6:40-ish -- and it actually was around an hour before anyone else showed up, so we hung out in the kitchen and decorated and played with caution tape and ate most of the food while waiting around for more people.
Alaina, Brent, and KateandSara finally showed up, and then the party kind of dispersed throughout the downstairs of the house. People were making/wearing tinfoil crowns, tying each other up in/wearing caution tape, riding on the computer chair, etc. We spent about an hour trying to get organized enough to order pizza before Bree finally took the initiative and called in the order herself because I kept getting distracted. Some people went out and randomly stood on the side of the road even though it was raining. Eventually the pizza guy came and we migrated into the living room to watch movies.
We watched "Super Troopers" and "Nightmare Before Christmas" and the party kind of separated off into two groups, with KateandSara, me, and Mike on the couch being calm and pretty much everyone else over by the TV, most of them having some kind of bizzare cuddle-orgy or something. Chaz came eventually, and Amy showed up briefly around 11 but have to leave within a few minutes.
People started leaving around 11:30 (damn driving curfew), and David showed up shortly thereafter. The party filtered down to me, Bree, Ali, David, Brent, Chaz, Mike, and Lisa; that group pretty much lasted until 2:30 AM. Just hung out and talked and stuff. Although I was kind of not really in any of the various conversations so I felt a little awkward for a while there... went out on the porch to watch the rain, but Ali and Bree came out and guilted me into coming back inside. The party tried to scatter earlier than it did except that when David went to leave, Ali and Bree tackled him, and a half-hour wrestling match ensued. So yeah.
Most everyone left except for Bree, Lisa, and Brent, who decided to crash here. Lisa and Brent kept talking so the sleep thing kind of didn't work out too well, heh. Around 6:30 the sun came up and the phone rang and after that all of us but Bree stood no chance of further sleep, so we started talking and she fled to my room. Tried to wake her up at 10:30 but failed somewhat miserably; Brent left and Lisa and I tried again, but she didn't come down until 11:15, heh.
And now I'm half-heartedly cleaning, and I'm supposed to go pick up Bree and Lisa at 3 and we're going to go to the Berrien County Youth Fair. Yee-haw. I'm very much tempted to wear my shirt with the picture of Bush and the words "INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST" but I don't much feel like getting mauled by angry rednecks, or strangled by rabid Republicans, although around here and especially at the Youth Fair they're pretty much one and the same. So yeah. And I need to pick up party pictures, which I'll post eventually -- I took them with a normal camera instead of my digital because I don't know, it's just more spontaneous, you know? Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. Sorry. Babbling. Whee....
