Jan. 21st, 2004 06:44 pmso I made a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket today...
um, yeah. see, for Forensics, there's this one scene where one of the characters decide that Colonel Sanders looks like her father and her and this other girl first give the "evil eye" to and then repeatedly shoot a KFC bucket with him on it. but none of the KFCs around here have buckets anymore, and anyway it would look different now than in the 70's when the play was set, so I needed to get me a vintage chicken bucket.
so I went to Martin's, got a chicken bucket, gessoed it (that's really thick white paintish stuff, FYI), went to Ebay (scarily enough) and found a picture of a circa-1970 KFC bucket that was on sale (I have no idea why it was...) and used that as a reference to paint the Martin's bucket.
( this is the result, of which I am quite proud. )
It also has some specialness written in the bottom of the bucket, courtesy of Richard...

It says "Eat me! ♥ The Colonel" just for reference. That will be covered in tinfoil or a similar grease-blocking substance soon enough, though -- sorry.
