(no subject)

so today I had a 6-HOUR-LONG elementary school variety show rehearsal. 6 fucking hours of small children and overbearing parents and complete disorganization. We are royally fucked tomorrow.


Gymnastics parents fucking piss me off. There were maybe 8 gymnastics acts in the show and each came with a stupid fucking mother who bitched about how the mats were wrong even though THEY WERE THE ONES WHO BROUGHT THEM and bitched that we needed to do a different mat layout, etc etc. I was about ready to club them to death with the lead pipe I found and hang them from the rigging. :)


I did meet the woman who'll be directing the show next year (this year there, um, WAS no director) and I spent my free time giving her tips about how to organize a show so that you DON'T drive the stage crew insane (for example, if you have acts with massive set-up time then put acts that are in front of the 1/4 traveler between the long-setup-time acts so that we can set up while another act is going instead of having to get one big set off and another big set on all in one single goddamn blackout). So things should be better next time around, I guess.


And now I am going to finish this fucking English project and go SLEEEEEEEP.
