Apr. 1st, 2004 09:19 pmSo yeah, I haven't done a good update in a while. Let's see here.
Tuesday was my birthday. Most of the day was uneventful. Adam (
chipmunkquinn) said he'd take me out to dinner, so he picked me up at the high school after build. I was a little suspiscious of his insistence on Pizza Hut, since it was my birthday and all, but yeah, I went with it. So we go in there, and he drags me back to the corner booth... where, like, 7 of my friends are. Apparently my mother's "surprise" for my birthday was orchestrating a surprise party -- she recruited my friends for some of the prep and the getting-me-there, and also left an ice cream cake there for it as well as her credit card number so we could just order whatever we wanted. Let's see... the people there were Bree, Deanna, Kate, Sara, Alaina, Amy, Adam, Sarah W, and later on, Ali. So yeah. It was really awesome... we spent something like 2 hours there, the only people in the restaurant. And I got presents and stuff, and some really great cards (Timmy, yours was the best -- TENTACLE!). Also there were party favors my mother left... I now am the proud owner of a giant rubber tarantula. BOOYAH.
I haven't gotten many presents, because most of the ones my mother ordered online have decided not to ship yet. Thus far:
-- an anthology of stuff from The Onion and a $50 Barnes & Noble gift certificate from my father
-- Macromedia Studio MX (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc... O_O), from my parents
-- Scene Design and Stage Lighting, from my mother
-- a "photo mobile" from Kate... REALLY cool
-- a spiffy candleholder from Bree
-- a bag of Riesen (WHEE! *drool*) and a picture frame from Sara
-- a choker, a keychain, and stuff from Alaina
So yeah. And the last two days have been uneventful enough, anyway. I seem to be on an editing binge -- last night I proofread a research paper for Tim (
lostfaroutthere), and then today I proofread/edited a story Katrina wrote. Which I have to get back to her, but it's spring break now... hm. Well, maybe I'll drive it over some time or something. Editing for friends is fun, anyway, because when they write something in a way that sounds like it means something different than was intended, I get to illustrate it:

Today's build was tremendously annoying, even if I accomplished a lot. ( But our set designer needs to fucking DIE. )
So, uh. Yeah. It's Spring Break now. ...Yay.
Anyway...
