(no subject)

oh, so we ARE going to fix my car, it's almost 100% certain now. the mechanic said we could start it without the radiator, just briefly, to make sure the engine worked, and we were going to make sure the thing still ran before buying parts... but we started it last night, and it ran perfectly (for the 3 seconds it was on, heh) so we told the mechanic to order stuff and we're going for it.


My father was going to do the repairs himself, but the other thing that got nailed was the AC compressor and fixing that is a bit more problematic, so once we get the radiator in and it's driveable we're taking it over to the mechanic's to have him do that part (we're friends with our mechanic, which is nice -- he found that car for me, and on most repairs just charges us for parts and not labor). That should be interesting, seeing as, you know, there still won't be a hood or a bumper. Heh. He wants to do it in the dead of night so no one will see us driving my smashed-up car but the headlights aren't attached anymore either, so, heh...


Blar. Anyway. Today is vaguely boring. I'm supposed to go down to CWCC today to get started volunteering... hm. Maybe a shower would be a good idea, heh.
