Aug. 25th, 2004 02:35 pmso... school. yeah. Only a half-day today, which was good. Although I was in a somewhat iffy mood which no one seemed to notice.
As for classes... hm. French is, well, French. Kind of a blow-off class for me, I've always done well with it. Nothing new there. My independant study Art class is during the Advanced Art class, which is kind of an I.S.-based class as it is, so that won't be too strange. 3rd hour is AP Lit, which just looks like a lot of reading, heh. I don't know, it's a lot of work but I'm not that worried about it.
4th hour is Ethics/Philosophy, which should be.... special. A lot of study of religions and worldviews and stuff. Which is fine and interesting, except that there's going to be a lot of in-class discussion, and, erm, I tend not to agree with most of my classmates on matters of that nature. At all. And some of the people in there I know to be very stubborn and patronizing when it comes to their opinions. So there should be a lot of special arguing and me wanting to rip peoples' throats out, heh.
And 5th and 6th is Theater Tech, which should of course be fun. I talked to Alex and I should be full crew soon enough; he wants me to work a complicated sound show first (of any kind) and so I have dibs on the first one that comes up, which would be the choir show in October. He's not making me work all 3 show types in both community and school; apparently it's fine that I don't have a ton of community shows, it matters more that I have enough experience in the different tech areas. And I'm fine when it comes to lights, I just know next to nothing about running sound, so yeah. That's cool.
The first show of the year is this weekend, a Miss Southwest Michigan pageant, which I should be doing SOMEthing for, hopefully lights because being a grip sucks several varieties of ass and I'm absolutely worthless at running spot.
We have summer reading tests in AP Lit for the next few days. Bleeech. And I'm missing the one Friday because we have crew call during school all day, heh heh. So I'll have to take that in the morning or something. Fortunately I know people in all of my classes so if there's notes in French or in Ethics I can get those.
I need to call Katrina... I need to get my summer reading books back so I can study.
