so I went for a drive. a very very long one made longer by the fact that I got stuck waiting for two freight trains in a row. the sky was nice, though, I took some pictures... my digital camera does not like night photography and so these are not strictly accurate color-wise because I had to mess with them in paintshop just to get stuff to show, but yeah, close enough. the sky WAS orange-y like this, just more... translucent and glowy, I guess, and less HOLY-CRAP-ORANGE. and there were more stars... millions...
