Probably none of you except Tim and other tech people will know what this means but ALEX ISN'T MAKING ME RUN THE SHOW ON CUESTACK! YAY! Because... yeah. I have a deep, fiery hatred for running shows from cuestack, because if something goes wrong (which it invariably does) there is no way at ALL to cover your ass. My presets are numbered badly (I go from P1-P5 to P10 and then P11 and then P15... aaand yeah) and sprawled out over three pages, but I know where they are and if something goes wrong I can bring other stuff up or down to cover for it. Hoorah. It took some convincing, heh, but the fact that I didn't fuck up at all today and a situation came up where, had it been a show, I would've had to cover for it... yeah. And anyway, I wouldn't've have gotten to program and try it on cuestack until the show tomorrow, and that just seems like a bad idea, considering my track record....
Anyway. Today was long... there was an all-school assembly first thing this morning and Alex wasn't in yet, so Dolphy and Yoder and eventually me had to scurry around trying to set up while dodging the 1000 highschoolers who'd been called down before we could get anything done. I was already sitting but the lights were spazzing majorly and Miller was up there not knowing what the fuck to do, so I fought my way through the crowd and turned on the lightboard and got things set up, which apparently she was incapable of doing despite being full crew. Then Alex showed up and was all pissed off because things still weren't working, because they wouldn't let us use our projector and theirs was being assish. All this before 8:30 AM, too!
Whee. x_x
...And now to write that AP Lit paper that I've been procrastinating on for over a week. Crappity.
