Oct. 15th, 2006 04:30 pmuhh, sorry for the drunkpost.
i may be getting a new car this week. we'll see. this is fucking scary. everyone who knows me knows my car is my baby. and just saying an instantaneous goodbye to it is.... fuck. but they found a Camry that I can probably get for $2000 which is an AMAZING deal, and it isn't really worth it to put a new clutch into mine, and a Camry is bigger and would be better for all the highway driving I do.... I almost got one at the end of summer, but it wasn't as good of a deal and I didn't like the color and one of the gears was weird, plus they didn't even KNOW the last time the clutch had been done... this one's an automatic, which I can deal with even though I do like stick for some things. I don't know. we'll see... my father's getting it looked at tomorrow morning to see if anything's wrong with it, and if it checks out then I'm coming home in the afternoon to test drive it and show them mine to see if I can trade it in.
these things move so fast. i don't want them to. i know it sounds silly but i want time to say goodbye. i... i love my car. i loved my car from the moment i saw it. but spending $600 on a new clutch for it is STUPID and i know that, and i can't drive it in the winter, the way it is. fixing it and keeping it is in no possible way sensible, and passing up a $2000 Camry (if it checks out) is in no possible way sensible. i know this. it's not like i was going to have my car forever and i know that too.but god, god, god, god dammit. i'm not ready for this.
fuck.
