(no subject)

so yesterday was... surprisingly motivated. I got home from Bill and Harley's at 7:45 AM, running on 4 hours of bad sleep, but somehow didn't feel like going to bed. wound up unpacking my car the rest of the way (I know, shut up) and then cleaning it. Intensively. I can drive around with it being a trash pit for months and months, but as soon as something significant about it changes -- in this case, the act of unpacking it and putting the seats up -- it starts driving me mad. I took the trash out of it, cleaned the windows, and Armor-All'd every single square inch of plastic inside it, even the ones no one looks at. And then the inside was clean, so I HAD to clean the outside (just like if it's in Mobile Trash Pit mode, I have to clean the inside if I clean the outside). Aside from the rust and the dents and the falling-off heat shield on the outside, and the paint and occasional burn mark on the inside, and the fact that it has 221,000 miles on it, it is like new! So that's exciting.

On the other hand, it was disgusting out yesterday, so it kinda sucked.

(Seriously -- the weather this spring/summer? WTF. STOP BEING IN THE 80'S AND 90'S IT IS MICHIGAN GODDAMNIT. I really just want a few weeks of nice mid-70's and cool nights IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?! Do not cope well with hot weather.)

I also have 3" of (lace) sock but that is not interesting to anyone but me.

I still have no job.

I now have TWO surgeries this summer, which makes job-finding even -more- hopeless.

The newest one, which I haven't mentioned? They are slicing open my left big toe and chiseling down the bone so that the nail I lost can actually grow back. And after it's healed? I'm going to have asymmetrical toes, which sucks even more than the surgery as far as I'm concerned. But it's that or they remove the toenail permanently. How did falling down one fucking set of icy stairs in January get THIS INCONVENIENT AND SHITTY?
