Aug. 12th, 2007 11:40 amChalk the Block went okay. my drawing was nothing spectacular, but pretty good. Really, my biggest problem was placement -- I was wedged between two 10 x 10 ones, and mine was 6 x 10 horizontal and therefore closer to the curb (while I chose the size, I didn't choose to be between two big ones)... AND I was next to the one that won People's Choice.
AND IT WAS A PUPPY.
You stand no chance when you're next to and smaller than the puppy. Particularly when seemingly everyone has children to whom they are describing each piece. "And here are some musi-- OOH HONEY LOOK AT THE PUPPY! DO YOU SEE THE PUPPY?!" The puppy was in the newspaper today. So yeah, I was slightly invisible.
( So here's mine. Obviously, not a puppy. )
In other news, my father and I were out on the motorcycle last night when we passed a building that has unfortunately decided to use its acronym for its sign. Whatever the company is actually called, the acronym is ARS. Obviously whoever owns it has never encountered anyone or anything British.
