Nov. 26th, 2007 02:27 amSo apparently Scotland = insomnia. Yippee. The problem is, I think, that it gets dark SO early -- I looked out the window at 4 PM yesterday to see a mostly-dark sky and the moon risen past the buildings -- that it confuses my brain. My brain thinks "sleep time is X number of hours after it gets dark", but that's at 8-9 PM here, so I push past it. After two years spent pulling K-related allnighters, I've pretty much trained my body that once sleeptime has been ignored, consciousness needs to be in it for the long haul. So the result of this is that I just don't get tired when it's a reasonable time for bed. If I try to sleep, I just lie there. Nothing makes me tired enough to sleep. But then, of course, once I am asleep my body wants it, which means I'm a fucking zombie during the day and can easily sleep until 1 on weekends. This is not a productive or healthy schedule, and it needs to fucking stop.
