Tra la la 08-09 SCHEDULE FINALLY.
Adding the English minor, pending getting people to sign forms.
So next year is looking like this, hopefully:
FALL:
ENGL435 Advanced Literary Studies
ARTX216 Photo II (if I can -- emailed prof, it's an independent study)
Need to figure this out
WINTER:
THEA490 Senior Seminar
ENGL276 Modernism
SIP
Mind/Body (yeaaahhh 2 PE credits... also getting me in to campus on T-R, otherwise I will totally just sleep all day.)
SPRING:
ARTX224 20th Century Art
ENGL107 Creative Writing (again, if I can pull off getting in)
Need to figure this out.
SO. Here is the debate. Functionally I can take whateverthefuckIwant in those Fall and Spring slots. But nothing is really catching my eye as far as random classes go. There's a Building Community with Theatre or something in the fall that could be cool. But... I really kinda want to take German. I know it's silly and I'll only get through 101 because of the SIP stuff, but it's the language I wish I'd taken and would've taken had I not tested through my language requirement here with French and had I not heard so many bad things about the program for it when I was in high school. It's sort of frivolous, but since I'm so far ahead on stuff, isn't that sort of the point?
The other problem is that spring is sort of lacking options-wise. Obviously the German wouldn't be an option since I'm missing 102 for SIP crazy, there's nothing in any other non-major department that grabs my attention, so unless the registrar decides not to do the obvious and give me my last gen ed credit, I've got nothing to do with that slot. I could underload, but that feels sort of... lazy, and I function better while busy anyway. I also feel bad doing the bare minimum on my major. My only option to fix that if I take German in the fall is Costuming & Stage Makeup for spring, but I'm not big on either (but maybe that's why I should take it) and also it is at 8:30 MWF and urrrrrgh. On the other hand, for once I DON'T have an 8:30 TR that term, so I'd still have a few days of the week of sleeping in... ugh I don't know.
Also I just found out that my advisor is out of the country right now, as I try to muddle through all this. HA HA HA THANKS UNIVERSE.
*Also, I'm sure several people are reading this and going "wtf is wrong with you save your damn money and graduate..." but the Art History class I'd rather take for my minor is only offered Spring, and I'll be finishing up my SIP then, and anyway this way I get to add an English minor and hey, that's what I was planning on majoring in anyway... so.
