numberoneblindthis morning has been... aaagh. I was up until 2 AM making sure I had everything in order because I wanted to prove to Lanny I could be prepared and organised. made my cue sheet, burned my CD, etc.
so I go to do my project.... and the CD doesn't work. and of course this morning in my rush to get out the door so I could get to the library and get a tweaked version of my project onto the disk (since my computer doesn't have a 3.5" floppy and that's what lightboards take) I hadn't grabbed my iPod, which was the other place the song was. cue semi-panic attack, and minor breakdown in general. once again I'm the unprepared one and I'm sure he hates me, I wanted to do something right and earn a little respect and of course I fuck it up. run all the way back to Harmon and get my iPod while someone else does theirs.... and of course, because it's me and my luck and my utter lack of coordination, I fall on the stairs, get my key stuck in the door (I yelled, not thinking about it, probably woke people up which I feel bad about), fall UP the stairs to Fine Arts - twice! - and get back to the booth barely able to breathe because asthma is a motherfucker. (my throat is still all "RARRGH I HATE YOU" now, an hour and a half later. why, body, why?!)
...and then my project went perfectly, we got donuts from Lee, we had an impromptu dance party onstage to one of the projects, I found my $1-refill coffee mug, and returned to my room to find a note and a piece of candy on the door from my roommmates, asking if everything was alright because of the yell and the slam this morning and saying they're here if I need to talk.
bad-to-good shift much?
...this morning has been fucking strange.
