uh well. tonight was special. just me, Meghan, and Heather -- the three rookies. As Meghan and I are the newest employees, Heather was in charge for her first time ever. i pretty much kicked all kinds of ass with stuff -- sold a buttload of discount cards including selling one for Meghan, and found a way to sell one to someone after they'd been billed and still get them the discount on that day's rentals. but there's plenty I don't know and we still had to keep calling other people -- first Rorik, and then Josh (the assistant manager, and since we're manager-less...) to help us close.

Heather is pretty cool, and so is Josh. Meghan remains nice but moderately useless. Rorik remains my favorite coworker and, tonight, my hero, for coming in and working 45 minutes off the clock on his night off  to save our asses.
(And for this, said to some regulars he knew: "I'm wearing a Dio shirt, does it LOOK like I'm supposed to be here?")

tomorrow 4:30 close and then OMGADAYOFF... oh wait, I'm working at art fair NEVER FUCKING MIND. but I get to go out Saturday night at least.

also got my hair colored and opened a checking account and went and visited Bree (who just had her appendix out) with a delivery of chocolate and Neil Gaiman books. so yeah. crazy crazy day.
