numberoneblindghhhaaaahhhhh. lazy lazy LAZY. well kind of. i think i cleaned things in my car today that have never been cleaned in its entire 13-year existence, so it is shiny and nice and yay. we keep going back and forth on its fate... the clutch is mostly shot, and I'm kinda ambivalent on it... on one hand that car is my BABY and i don't like the idea of selling it to someone who might kill it. but the logical thing to do is, of course, sell it. (my father says $500, i bet i could get $750 especially if whatever its replacement was had a CD player already -- $500 is "runs, mostly, for the time being", but come on it's a fuckin' Toyota, with a clutch job i bet someone could get another 50,000 miles out of it at LEAST and i think it'd be a shame to see it junked out, which is also why i'm tempted to fix it 'cause the clutch WILL be a problem for whoever i sell it to.... anyway...)
on the other hand, i bloody HATE car-shopping. and my budget -- under $5000 theoretically, but preferably under $3000 -- is not one that guarantees reliability. i've had that car for 3 years and it has required barely any repairs that weren't my fault, it has NEVER died on me, etc etc. so i sell it off, sell my nice reliable baby, and then drop a couple grand on something that maybe turns our to be an unreliable piece of shit. my father says "well that's a chance you take" but that's a chance I'm not WILLING to take.
anyway. i am not getting SHIT done today, still need to cleanroomfinishpackingargh, though i guess on some level i'm just not that worried because it's not like i'm going that far. dunno though. should still do it. merr.
(got shopping to do too but why bother? kalamazoo's better for shopping anyway, and why fuck with lugging it up wednesday when i have nothing to do friday and i can just go shopping there and make movein day easier?)
