Yeah... Most of this I just condensed from my deadjournal/xanga/livejournal, heh.

January: Forensics madness. Really. Rehearsals almost every night, and meanwhile I had an AP class to contend with. Hung out with stage crew people for the first time, when I didn't feel like going home before rehearsal.

Our first competition was Districts, on the 25th, where we did really pretty good, although we only had seconds to spare at the end, clocking in at around 44:58. (If you go over 45 minutes, then major points get docked.) Really, not much else happening, just Forensics.

-----------

February: You guessed it... more Forensics. The month started off with me at Mid-Michigan Festival, which featured such specialness as an oddly-shaped stage, no room in the wings (my side was operating out of a narrow hallway), and everybody changing clothes afterwards in a large room with one wall that was all windows, garnering strange looks from passerby. The next week was Regionals, where we unloaded in 0-degree weather, fun fun. Took second place by something like one point, which meant no going to State... only to learn on the ride home that we had received one of two wildcard slots in all of Michigan due to the margin by which we lost out, and we WERE going to State, after all. Several minutes of cheering elapsed before everyone went back into cold-induced torpor.

State took place on the weekend of Valentine's Day, much to the chagrin of some not-me people. And wow, did we suck ass. Almost the entire cast was sick, so no dynamics in the acting... a sound cue got missed... a prop broke... yeah, not good. Still fun, anyway.

Sign-up meeting for Musical was 2 days after Forensics ended. And 4 days after Forensics ended, I was on a plane to California. Stayed there for a little over a week, bought first pair of spiffy wide-leg pants, took a hell of a lot of pictures. Came back on the last day of the month.

-----------

March: Compared to the preceding two months, pretty uneventful. Took second-session driver's ed. Dyed my hair -- all of it, not just streaks -- on the 15th. It hasn't been its actual color since. Passed road test by the skin of my teeth because St. Joe Driver Testing is eeeevil -- I barely did anything wrong and she called me a "danger". Went to license bureau to find out what I'd need to do to get my license, and due to misunderstanding and the clerk being a moron was informed I've have to wait 6 months instead of the 3 days until my birthday. Got upset, stormed out. Turned 16 on the 30th. Received a letter in the mail that day informing me that due to my getting angry at the license bureau, I had to undergo "psychological evaluation" and a second, State-administered road test before I could get my license. cue nervous breakdown.

-----------

April: Painted the trim in my room over Spring Break. Rehearsal madness for Musical kicks in. Had a website I was building get killed by its host because I neglected it for too long and it got deleted. Started frantically reviewing for APUSH test. Won first place in one category at Arts and Science Expo for a black and white photo I took in California; took second in the computer-generated art category. Proved I wasn't crazy and got my license on the 23rd. Lots and lots of Musical rehearsals with bitchy directors who I wanted to murder. The last few days of the month fell during Hell Week. Was left as only member -- and therefore head -- of prop crew.

-----------

May: Kicked off with the ending of Hell Week, which featured Musical rehearsals that ran from after school until 10:30 PM with almost no break. We finally opened the musical, "Peter Pan," on the 2nd. Plenty of problems, but oh well. The show on the 3rd went infinitely better. Took AP US History test on the 9th. Ran for Drama Club secretary, lost. Dyed hair almost-black unintentionally. Played piano for the first time in 2 years. Started hanging out with Adam again. Killed myself with stress over projects in two classes. Turned one of them in.

-----------

June: Finished second project, which was 1/3 of my APUSH grade, at midnight the night before it was due. Got a 90% on it. Met Ali for the first time. SCHOOL ENDED YAY. Started religiously attending open mics with Adam, Ali, others. Participated in fruit porn (not really). Saw fires and heard gunshots and screaming from the riots two towns over, in Benton Harbor. Started "work" -- that is, babysitting. Got a Livejournal on the 23rd.

-----------

July: Went to Bree's for the 4th of July; her, her dad and stepmom, me, and Deanna went and watched fireworks from the bluff. Started car-hunting, drove several Camrys and a '98 Escort (which I almost bought). Worked at Art Fair. Got AP test results back -- I got a 5, the best score possible. Broke a toe on my right foot a few days before Venetian. Worked at Venetian Festival for 4 days, several of them at River Stage. Didn't have to work for a week and a half after the guy whose kids I was babysitting swallowed an airborne spider and was bitten in the throat. Dyed hair and bathtub purple with Ali's help. Moved SotNM webpage to Brinkster.

-----------

August: I got a car! Yay! A 1993 Toyota Corolla wagon with 193,000 miles and almost no rust, for only $900. Got pictures disqualified from BCYF on grounds of them being digital, despite there being no category for a black and white digital set but a category for the same thing in standard black and white. SORRY I DON'T HAVE A DARKROOM, FUCKERS. Got kicked out of a (golf) country club where I was doing photography for my mother's band. Went to Traverse City. Got a cellphone (269-921-0839, bitches.) Got a CD player installed in my car, and bought new hubcaps. Started school on the 25th.

-----------

September: Accidently dyed hair pink. Added purple to cover up the pink. Got painting put on display for Art Around Town. Joined Stage Crew. Had poison ivy on my arms and face for basically the entire month. Learned to run a spotlight, kind of. Discovered the evil that is Composition class. Dropped out of AP Biology in favor of independent study Art 3. some guy from a forum I went to died. Got randomly depressed a few time for other reasons.

-----------

October: Pulled my first all-nighter... for Comp, of course. Went to anime convention with Alaina. Fixed the small amount of rust that was on my car... yay Bondo. Was depressed a lot. Went to the TA for the first time, heh. Went to lots of Variety Show builds. Was very very busy with schoolwork too.

-----------

November: Fucked up an open mic performance, giving me permanent stage fright. Skipped school for the sake of sleep a few times. Not only made crew for Variety Show but wound up practically an assistant stage manager despite it being the first show I ever worked -- I was running stage left. Things went fairly well, in that none of the things that went wrong were my fault, heh. But opening night went awesomely and things only went downhill from there. Found a shiny object to hang in my car. Spent Thanksgiving with extended family, ugh. started failing Pre-Calc.

-----------

December: Got bronchitis. Stayed home from school a LOT. Tried to cut my own hair, which didn't go too well, heh. Went to Chicago. Ran the grand for a choir show. Someone started a Young Republicans club at my school, so I helped start a Young Liberals. Didn't get put as head of prop crew despite experience from Musical. got a PSAT score that makes me eligible for the National Merit Scholarship, I'm sure, 'cause yeah, 219 = good. Learned how to run lights. Did job shadowing. Got new speakers installed in my car. Had crappy, depressive, suicidal Christmas.

And oh look, close enough to now that I'm going to stop.

ohh
