numberoneblindTrying to put together a (short, duh) set for Open Mic night. ARRRrrrggh.
My main problem is, I HAVE NO NEW MATERIAL. I haven't really played in months due to lack of free time/inspiration. So yeah. I found one older song to dredge up, but basically my usual. The other problem is that there is only so much I can pull off with just me and my guitar... meh.
And don't tell me I could just write something. I CANNOT FUCKING WRITE SONGS ARRRRRGH. I hate myself for that. Bleh.
I wish I had a band. There are SO many covers I could do then, because it doesn't work with just me... but yeah. Everyone hates me, so, uh, yay?
I don't even know why the fuck I'm doing open mic night. Half feeling obligated to, half wanting to defeat godawful stage fright still remaining from the last open mic night. (I haven't played in public since -- too terrified.) So yeah. I don't know.
I still have NNNNNOOOOOOTTHIIIIIIIINGGGGG for Creative Writing. Argh, I fucking suck.

And I find it easier to write things when I'm not trying so hard. I mean...come up with some words about how you feel, even if they don't make sense. (Those make the best songs.) Music can come later.

I read the post you had linked in this post, and I must say that even though Technology decided to go bitchtastic on you, I admire your strength to even get up there and perform. God knows I wouldn't be able to do something like that.
