numberoneblindSo I didn't really do much of an update yesterday since I didn't get home until 9:30 and I had a paper to write. Yesterday was good, though. After school we had "Cinderella" teardown, which was fun. Hooray for destruction. Amazing how that set took 2 months to build, and maybe 4 hours to destroy. What couldn't be kicked apart had crowbars and mallets taken to it.
After we had ripped most of it apart, one of the guys went and got his pickup truck, and had some friends come with another pickup truck, and we loaded them up with set remnants (we saved staircases, columns, boards over 5' or so, and basic framing pieces, but everything else, gone). The entire crew then went over to Matt's and used the set remnants to make a BIG fuckin' bonfire. There were easily 15-ft flames when we first started it, thanks to the dried-out Christmas tree at the bottom of the pile as well as, more importantly, the several gallons of gasoline and extra splashes of torch fuel that got dumped on there. We kept hosing down the deck and the surrounding foliages to make sure nothing would burst into flames, heh.
I'd meant to leave around 7 or 8 so I could go home and type something to hand in for Creative Writing, but the fire was burning down so nicely and a few of us were just sitting out there talking, and it was really nice. And suddenly it was almost dark out (it gets dark really late here) and I realized that I REALLY needed to get home.
It was nice, anyway. I actually felt somewhat like a normal teenager for once, hanging out with other people and talking and eating cold pizza and watching the flames flicker down.
... Today sucked, but that would seem too weird with this entry, so I'll just leave it at that.
