so for Thespian Inductions on Wednesday, I'm playing/singing A Perfect Circle's "3 Libras"... I wanted to learn "The Noose" (also APC) but it's almost all bassline and I'd have to make something up and I'd need my electric and my pedala and meh, too much setup. And so I was brushing up on "3 Libras" and suddenly I get a phone call from Sara T. She needs accompaniment for a song SHE'S doing. So now I'm learning some Jewel (EW..) song and stuff too, and performing twice at inductions. Blah. Whatever, it's fine. I'm actually learning the Jewel song the right way with fingerpicking and stuff because it sounds nicer.


But the result of this is that I am playing my acoustic right now after months of barely playing or only playing my electric, and HOLY SHIT do my fingers hurt. Hooray for rebuilding calluses in one night! Argh.

Yeeesss, but the thing is, playing isn't -exactly- my strong suit, I much prefer to sing. The crappy Jewel song is hers to sing. I still want to do something on my own so that I get to sing, so...

Unless it's a problem that I'm in two acts, I much prefer it that way, heh.
