As much as I hate mostly everything about this place... I don't know. Hate the people, hate the culture (or lack thereof), love the land. I went for a drive just now, down the back roads like always... so nice. It was right at dusk and cloudy, so the sky looked like it was right before a storm even though it wasn't, dark blue-grey with pure white cloudtops showing in places... and then the fireflies came out, and it looked like the fields were glittering... yeah. I don't know.

Gotta love Southwestern Michigan; nothing to do, nowhere to go, and a total lack of places to shop and all that good stuff...and yet it's beautiful all at the same time. Well, it'd be a lot more beautiful without all the damn tourists thinking they owned us.

The valley has some pretty awesome scenery...places like Yosimite, and the Cali Redwoods aren't too far away, and that's beautiful...I have some good piccies from my trip there summer vacation. Nothing really special particularly nearby....most of populated California is sort of like a giant strip mall...giant, foggy strip mall...

I do that too, take a drive to re-orient myself. Of all of its faults, America's natural beauty is not one of them.
