it's storming, and has been for a few hours now. yay for storms.

I've made it through two of my four summer reading books just today, which leaves me with just one left (I read 'Great Expectations' first, dooooooom). Surprisingly not bad... 'The Natural' was interesting enough for all that it was thoroughly sports-oriented. And 'Brave New World' sucked me in to the point where I just read it in a little over 2 hours, plowing straight through.

...Which maybe wasn't the greatest idea. Ever since I was a little kid the eye doctors were baffled by the fact that I was such a good/voracious reader, because of the way my vision is -- I should have had reading problems, and they wanted me to have bifocals, with reading glasses in the bottom, but I declined because A). I didn't want to be a 4th-grader with bifocals, and B). I had no problems with reading so obviously, to my mind, I didn't need them. But the truth, apparently, is just that I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to reading... I'll read and read and read and completely disregard the fact that it makes me feel as though someone has just slammed an axe into my forehead. OH well. But yeah. Ow. Dammit.

...yeah. and the computer screen probably isn't helping... and no one's online anyway... so I think I'm just going to go... and... and READ MORE!! AHAHAHAaahhafsdyagghshgyargle. yeah. I'm stupid. x_x

I know, it was so interesting, I started it and I just could NOT stop, hahaha. Which, as I said, wasn't such a good idea, because I finished it and went, "um, wow, okay, OW..."

...And... he did?

...YAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!

Brave New World was the book I chose for the free-response section of the AP test. It's a fantastic book, and it poses some real moral/ethical questions. I loved it.

You're going to love AP Lit. It's one of those classes where you suddenly realize that for most of your life you've been devoting yourself to crap, and you gain a whole new perspective. Have fun, kiddo.

Brave New World is simply pneumatic...

Orgy-porgy...

I reread that book earlier this summer, it inspired a "women are not objects" bitch-fest.

I'm really awfully glad I'm a beta.
