As moderately anticipated, the light board op for SPS bailed.

Board ops got reassigned and they found a second one again.

And guess what?

I'M STILL FUCKING RUNNING SOUND.

Mind you, the light board in the Dungeon is shit... and sound is probably harder which is good... but still... yeaarrgghhhhh. Just kind of the principle of the thing. "I'm trained in all areas but enjoy lighting most." "Okay! We'll give you every single tech position except lighting!"

if it makes you feel any better they did the same thing to me at Quad C. Two years at that damn theatre and they didnt give me one single lighitng design. What DID they give me? Master Carpenter for an entire year.

yech. that's pretty evil. I don't mind building but if I had to do it for a year and not do lights at all I would be PISSED.

the only upside is that there's a shitty little Strand board in that theater so mostly I'm just missing out on irritation. kind of. because sitting there and watching someone else run lights drives me maaaaaad if they fuck anything up.
