ahahaha. okay. for starters I worked an extra half-hour today because as I was about to clock out, 437281904732189047321980 people showed up and most of them were complicated (credit cards, DVD player rentals, new members, people with $50 in late fees, etc).

but the main point is that my hours for next week got completely changed by our DM and basically, if you were to ask me "what's the most evil schedule you could possibly get?", this would be it:
Sunday: 4-close
Tuesday: 2-10
Wednesday: 5-close
Thursday: 5-close
Friday: 4:30-close

So yes, that would be closing almost every single fucking night. And not just closing. Working all evening and THEN closing, and closing is pretty much ass. I am scheduled for 39.5 hours next week despite being a part-time employee, which puts me in a tie for Most Hours Worked with the ASSISTANT MANAGER who is functioning as manager next week because we're getting a new one soon. I have more hours next week than the shift leader I worked with today. What. The. Fuck.

I mean, yes, working lots of hours is good I suppose. I started the second week of a pay cycle so the check I get Tuesday will be ass, but the one for this pay cycle will be well over $400. Which is nice, yes. And I can still do fireworks Monday, and I have Saturday off which is nice. But HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF FUCK. Why am I getting so many hours? o_o

...what can I say. they like me. they reaaaaally like me. o_O

i never really understood why people hated closing till i had to take a crappy job at office depot one month and i ended up closing almost every damn night.

yeah. before I closed for the first time I was like "oh, it won't be bad"... and then once I'd done it I realized how awful it was.
