this quarter is just odd. bad-odd. going quickly, but that may be a bad thing as i haven't done anything in my classes and am probably going to fail them.

i feel very static here. like things are not changing and i am going nowhere. which is weird considering how busy things have been. but really it's just that everything with everyone i know back home is getting ridiculous and i am stuck in the stasis that is kalamazoo college. mostly it's hard because i want to be there, i want to be there for people, yet at the same time i also realise that i wouldn't actually be able to do anything more to help were i there, and i'd be feeling just as frustrated and helpless.

declaring major and minor today. the fact that this is the first quarter that i haven't had a class from either and i'm HATING it makes me feel a little better about my choice.

how can so much change while feeling like nothing is changing at all?

I get the same feeling. I love my friends here. After all, in the end, I couldn't leave. However, I hate not being with everyone back home. It's like I never actually established friendships until I was going to leave.

seriously... I feel the same. It was harder for me to go back this year than it was to go away the first year, because it's like... dammit, I have friends now.

but at least I finally have friends in BOTH places.

It's okay here. Some snow, nothing compared to what you guys got though. just tired of being cold....

I hope I get to see you soon, too. Things are going to be crazy for the next few weeks, but hopefully they'll uncrazy at some point and I'll be able to visit. love you too.
