so alyssa got an RA position. which is awesome and i'm happy for her.

but. we were going to live together when i got back from Scotland, and this means i am UTTERLY FUCKED. i seriously have no one to live with. i don't want to be on campus, but i probably can't find a studio apartment that's any cheaper, plus i really don't want the isolation of living alone off campus. suddenly next year is a lot more worrisome than it was. and worst, there's absolutely nothing i can do except be freaked out about it.

There's a few studio apartments on West Main that are all under $500 a month, utilities included (although one is $480 and may not include electric). Check out Trident Realty Kalamazoo (http://www.tridentleasing.com/) and look for "efficiency" apartments. I've applied for one at #834 West Main and there's a really nice one at 830 West Main, apt. #5, that's my second choice but would make a very attractive place to live. I already looked at it and I can assure you it's small but very nice. It's literally right across the street from where you live now.

If you can't find anywhere to live in the fall, you can sleep on my floor wherever I go. My lease-mate is moving in in the winter, however, and you'll have to go somewhere else then because she's serious when she says she doesn't get along with roommates.

I'm fine for fall/winter, but the problem is spring... and money. $500 a month for a studio apartment is really no cheaper than a dorm single, which has proven too much for my financial situation to handle this year (although I will save on food, since my mealplan is $950 or something and I doubt I eat $950 worth of groceries in 3 months...) So either way, dorms or no, I need to find someone to live with, basically. :/
