so I haven't done an arty picture-y post lately, and everyone is off scurrying about and too busy to look at what I did for my project that's due tomorrow...

the theme was to do a series of related prints, so hopefully these work since they have a unified concept. which was basically to attack everyday things around me with macro lenses and big apertures until you could no longer tell what they actually were, until they became line and form and texture while you're going "what the fuck is that?"

this is actually spherical, but the depth of field is so narrow that it inverts it.

and the ones that are a LITTLE less abstract, but still fit:

i like that you know this is a piercing, but the shadows throw you off its location a bit.

my absolute favorite shot of the 300+ that I took over the weekend. I think it's obvious what it is, but it bepuzzled a guy in the photo studio, so hopefully that means it fits my criteria.

Those are amazing, sweetheart!! I want a list of what they really are, I'm all curious now xD

And the last one...yeeeah, I have no idea what it is. A...caterpillar on a person's face, maybe? ^^;;

Anyway, amazing job, hun! <3

Yeah, the first one is surprisingly cool for how simple it is...

They're all very pretty. They do seem to have a unified theme, even if I'm not sure what all of them are-- they fit together well. I like #2, #3 and #5, though not the best-- they just jump out at me right at this moment.

And my sense of composition sucks, so anyone who can set up a nice composition gets ten clean and happy toes up from me.

I thought my sense of composition was good, but taking this class and putting up -sets- of photos instead of looking at individual ones I realised how.... consistent it was. In a bland way. So I'm happy with the variation in these.

And yeah, the assignment was a series of related pictures, so it's good you sense that they're unified -- rather than a theme, they're just all shot very similarly.
