I made a phone call to Scotland this morning and it was exciting.

I can only hope. You're already wonderfully amusing and fantastic as your Michigan self, but with a Scottish accent and mannerisms you'll be utterly divine.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Being a camp counselor tends to suck up your life. I hope the surgery went well and I'm glad to hear that the lacy sock of doom is coming along well. A few good reads? "Life Among the Walnuts," "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell," "The Various" (which I'm working on now), and "Howl's Moving Castle" (my favroite) all come to mind. Good books. And for trashy "remember what middle school was like?" fun, read "Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal-Snogging." Let me know if you need more-- I am positively the queen of book recs.
