so today (which sounds funny, as I've gotten out of the habit of doing entries like this), I went to Kalamazoo and visited the awesome and finally-returned Lenya... we went shopping and I bought stompy gothy guy-boots (which my mother did indeed roll her eyes at) for Scotland, and then ate cheap pizza buffet, and then went to Fourth Coast for customary coffee + Scrabble, and then went to the arcade where I learned how to play DDR and sweated a lot.

(And then I white-knuckled it back to Stevensville on I-94... if you were to ask me for a Top 5 of things I hate to deal with on the highway, it would be something like 1. construction, 2. fog, 3. pouring rain, 4. semis, and 5. people from Illinois... add all of those together and make it pitch black out and you get my really, really shitty drive home, heh.)

Even with the drive of death, though, still an excellent day.

Also, I learned something:

I white-knuckled it from Kingston, Ontario to here last night. Rain + 3 hour traffic jam + tired Ali = a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG 14 hour drive home and skipping work today! YAY!

Now that I'm home...we need to hang out before you outsie for Scotland!

Eeegh... one hour in that weather was bad enough, I can't imagine freakin' 14. Damn.

And yes, we should hang out before I leave. What's your schedule looking like? One of my friends from school is here this week, but after I move her in on Saturday I'm back to being free pretty much all the time.
