okay, so I don't usually get political in here, but:

Texas and Ohio: OMGWTFSTFU.

Grah. I really do not like Hillary. Picturing her debating McCain makes me die a little inside because I can't see her winning. McCain needs to debate someone who will stay calm and collected (like Obama has for the Hillary crazy), and he'd get madder and madder that he's being outmaneuvered until he either spontaneously combusts or says something so stupid and out-there that everyone decides he's too unhinged to be president. But no. I'd still vote for her over a Republican, particularly one who's cool with us being in Iraq for the next 100 years, but BLAUGH.

(And no, I'm not one of those hardcore Obama nuts. I was out of the country and undecided for the last 5 months. But watching Clinton be a psychotic cunt during the last two debates pretty much settled it for me...)

We were shouting at the TV last night.

Its not over just yet in texas tho, we still have the caucus to count and thats looking good.

I have to agree with you. Also the thought of Slick Willy being back in the White House as First Husband makes me want to throw up. I can't look at him without needing heartburn medicine to stem the flow of angry bile up my throat. I'm in favor of Obama partially because I think he has dignity and class. Finally, someone who can make a proper English sentence and stir the populace.

I'm not in favor of the war either, but I also think the Iraqi people are screwed if we stay OR go. They'll elect a proper democratic president when they're ready for one, and judging by some parts of the world that may be never. Self-appointed leaders love a leadership vacuum.

Yeah, Iraq is fucked, either way. I was listening to NPR the other day and they were interviewing this British journalist who's been covering Iraq since the late 70's. And he was basically like, "look, they were on the brink of civil war before we got there, the American presence just complicates it more because now the different factions are trying to get American backing, rather than working their problems out the natural way". He pretty much said America needs to sit down with leaders from EVERY faction, try to get a dialogue started, and then get the fuck out. Which makes sense. And fuck the democracy thing -- that's the retarded part of this whole war. You can't say "here, I give you democracy," because it's against the entire concept of, you know, WHAT DEMOCRACY IS. The people have to honestly want it for it to work, and we can't make them want it -- particularly if we're bringing it to them by blowing them up.
